Lindsey is an author of middle grade and young adult fiction. She is represented by Alyssa Eisner Henkin of Birch Path Literary.
Before she could even spell, Lindsey was writing picture books about her family. She wrote her stories on 8x11 computer paper, and they featured jumbled letters and stick figure drawings. She’s been writing ever since.
Lindsey earned a B.A. in English from Boston University and also holds an M.A. in English Education from Fairfield University in Connecticut. She was raised in Connecticut and spent summers boating with her family.
Lindsey was an avid reader from an early age. Her mother read to her every night, introducing her to stories like Little House on the Prairie and The Secret Garden. Some of Lindsey’s early favorites include Anne of Green Gables and Lord of the Rings. When her childhood friends at the marina would ask her to come out and play, she’d say, “in a minute! I just need to finish this chapter.” Reading flashlights were an essential item on Girl Scout camping trips. She continues to read broadly and often and is passionate about cultivating a love of reading in her high school students. She loves recommending books to kids and watching how excited they get when they connect with a story.
Though she’s dabbled in poetry and short fiction, she primarily writes fiction for children. She was accepted into the Author Mentor Match program in 2019. In addition to writing, Lindsey enjoys hiking and exploring wild places, eating good comfort food, watching movies, and sipping a nice cup of tea. She currently lives in Maine with her husband and black Labrador retriever.
